Classification: Query
Name: Patricia Doris Parsell, a white female, born 21 Jan 1916, (possibly at Willipa) in Pacific County, Washington, to Edward W Parsell and Clara A Carlson Parsell; Patricia was the youngest of several children.

Her "Separation Qualification Record" will provide the documentation you need for some type of WWII insignia for the marker. The bad news is, it will not exist. SO, fill in the paper work for a Standard Form 180 [http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/standard...]

Next, go to [http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/public/g...] for FOIA information. Be sure to include a Freedom of Information Act letter with the 180 request. Ask for a list of what else is in her file. Ask for her list of medals and for copies of any photos, commendations/citations.

The good volunteers at the National Archive in Seattle on Sandpoint Way NE (on the west side of the street, just south of Magnuson Park) can help in pulling this together to send to St Louis.

Ending with "Other Ways to Wrangle Military Records" can be found at:[http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/ot...]
