I am looking for information on anything to do with James Gavin or his family. He was born about 1920-1925 in the Chicago, IL area of the US. He served in the Army-Air Corps in Europe during WW II. He was on a plane that was destroyed just before May 1945. He and Kathleen Mills had a son James, born November 1945 in England. James was adopted by the Drew’s in England and assumed their surname of Drew. Kathleen Mills lived in or near Nottingham, Carrington, England. He recalls that his American grandparents wrote a letter his English grandmother mourning the loss of their son.
