I found the prisoner record of my second cousin once removed, Jacob Dirk Duijtsch, 1917- 1945. His mother was Alida van der Veen, father Christiaan Johannes Duijtsch, living in Bandoeng (Bandung), Indonesia. He was imprisoned in a Japanese camp on Sumatra.
Died: 14 February 1945 in No.5 Camp of No.1 Branch Camp of Malay POW Camp in Taratakbuluh, Riau province, Sumatra; Disposal of remains: Burial. Buried in the cemetery at 23km from Pekanbaru, Riau province, Sumatra (JA189);
Attached is his prisoner record. There is some Japanese writing on the second page that I am interested in. Can anyone translate this for me? It would be so much appreciated!
I can't figure out where to put the url location, so here it is: http://www.gahetna.nl/collectie/archief/inventaris/gahetnasc...
