Marguerite J. James, age 96, born January 12, 1917 in Monmouth, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at her Columbus, Ohio residence.
A graduate of Bradley College (Peoria, Illinois) and a World War II Army Veteran.
Marguerite had been a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church since 1962 and retired from The Ohio State University after 21 years of dedicated service as a supervisor in the Dietary Department.
In 1991, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Donald R. James.
She is survived by a host of family and friends, including cousin, Richmond Jones of Chicago, Illinois; dear friend and long time caregiver, Harry A. Jackson, Sr.;
Homegoing Celebration 12Noon Monday, June 10, 2013 in the chapel of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main St., Columbus, Ohio with visitation from 11 a.m. until the start of service.
Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
