Lela May Guthrie was the daughter of Joseph Aaron Guthrie and Lena Melton, born in Alabama about 1920. She was in the Navy in WW2 and married a navy man. I don't know his name, just Uncle Fir or Fur. I think he had a Scottish or Irish sounding name but can't remember for sure, maybe a Mc-something or O'-something. I don't think they had any children. They lived in or near San Diego or San Francisco, CA after the war until her death in the mid 50's or possibly early 60's. She died before he did. I think she died in an auto accident. She was buried in CA. The only place I've ever found her is in the 1930 census. There are no relatives left that knew her. I know this isn't much to go on, but maybe someone can give me some kind of clue as to how I could find more about her. Is there such a thing as a census of Navy personnel?
