If you know the date you were admitted into the hospital for your illness(heart problems) and know what hospital, you are entitled to those records. Thats how i found out what my husbands name was.( The name his biological family gave him at birth. ) Hospitals have a daily admission and discharge log they keep. They tried to NOT give us the records(everyone flags adoptee charts and feels you don't have a right to know) but I was persistant and told them legally they could not withhold them. Eventually they sent them but marked out his last name. Fortunately, they missed a few spots AND we could read thru the marker anyway. If you have any questions, email me. Good luck.
