Would like to find my father

I was born 7/10/38 to a "Rockie" Venezia and RoseMarie Cermola, at home somewhere or on New Park Avenue, Hartford Ct. I lived with my mother, I believe, until May of 1939 and was then placed in foster care with a family in Bristol, Ct by the name of Reitano. I was adopted by a family from Thomaston, Ct.,Peter and Marie Mariani and raised by them at 905 Waterbury Road, Thomaston. They are now both deceased. I know my mother's name at the time of my birth was Rose Cermola and she had been divorced from Carmine Cermola in 1937. They had two sons, Carmine and Louis. The boys lived with their father and his parents. My mother was working at The Hartford Retreat when she met my father. He lived, I believe in the area of Portland with his parents at that time. I believe he was about 18 yrs of age at the time of my birth. He and my mom never married. I was found by my half brother Donald Peterson last year and was able to meet my birth mother who now has also passed away. If anyone out there can be of any help I sure would be grateful. I know that chances are that my father may not be alive and if he is he may not want to acknowlege me, but there is always a chance that someone in his family may be able to at least give me some information so I may achieve some closure in this matter. I have two grown sons, Scott and Peter and they are here with me in Florida.

My mother did marry again to a gentleman by the name of Peterson and had one son, Donald who lives in Ct. He is the brother that found me.

Thank you so much,

Sandra Martin
