I'm assisting a friend in searching for her BM who was born in Indiana in 1941. My friend was born in November, 1966, in the Naval hospital in Beaufort, S. C.
Possible surnames of interest for BM are Ramsey or Wynne.

My nefew was born from what we can find out on 16/june/1972
in St. Louis Mo. The birth certificate is supose to be under baby boy Blazer.Im guessing thats the mothers name.
We've done a search for said certificate and recieved a not on file in the Mo. vital statistics.He was suposedly born in Christian Hospital .I think he may have been born els where.ie no record in Mo.
Any help on finding the birth mom is greatly appreceated.
any ideas on opening a sealed adoption is needed.
My nefew has a son with many medical issues and we have no family history to go on.

Info on EDNA - BORN SUMMER 1925 in a Mid-Western state

Searching for info on my birthmother. She was born in the summer of 1925 in a mid-western state. Of IRISH & CHEROKEE INDIAN DECENT. Was told her name was EDNA by my Adoptive Mother.

According to Non-ID info: Her mother died when she was 5 and her father died when she was 11. After her mother died she when to live with her maternal grandmother on a farm. EDNA had long dark wavy hair, hazel eyes with very long eyelashes and had a very good posture. She was 5'5" tall.

EDNA live in Miami, FL from 1942 to 1947 and worked as a bar maid, waitress, babysitter,housekeeper and elevator operator. She was dating Noland M Ebanks (a merchant marine) I was born in Nov 1945 in Miami, FL. at Edgewater Hosp., Dr Rosnick.

Edna only had a 7th grade education and could not get a good paying job. She did not care for sport much but she did like to read and sew.

It is noted that she got married after she place me for adoption (1946). It is also noted that she moved back to her home state after my adoption was final in 1947.

MY adoptive mother said that EVANS was a family name???? May have been her grandmothers. Also said that her great or great great grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian.

Does anyone know about this woman?

I am searching for my birthmother (or any info on her, relatives, etc).

BM born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-western state. Was of Irish & Cherokee Indian decent. Was told that her name was EDNA. Her mother died when she was 5 and she went to live and be raised by her maternal grandmother. Her father died when she was 11. BM did not know the cause of death on either parent. BM's great or great-great grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian. BM live on a farm with her maternal grandmother. This was somewhere in Ohio near a large city, which one not known.

BM had long dark curly hair, hazel eyes with very long eyelashes and had a very good posture. She did not care for sports very much but loved to read and sew.

BM lived in Miami, FL from 1942 thru 1947. I was born in Nov. 1945 in Miami. Was named Gloria Jean Ebanks.

BM only had a 7th grade education so could not get a good paying job. She help positions of bar maid and waitress. Also babysitter,housekeeper and elevator operator.

I was told that EVANS was a family name. This may have been her grandmother last name????

Does anyone know about her?

My husband is searching for his birthmother. We have found out that his birth mother's name was Rebecca Clark and she named my husband "Floyd" at birth. My husband was born 2/11/54 in New Orleans, LA. He was told that he was born at Baptist Hospital and was possibly at St. Vincent's orphange for awhile.

He was adopted in May of 1954 through the city of New Olreans Office of Family Services. He was adopted by the Luther E. Hall family of Perrier Street, New Orleans.

The addresses given by the birthmother at the time of his adoption were 5400 Jefferson Hwy. and 3501 St. Claude Avenue.

When we looked up the addresses in a 1954 city directory we found that the Jefferson Hwy address was for the the Foudation Hospital which was an early location for Ochsner Hospital. This was located at the old Camp Plauche site near the Huey P. Long Bridge. Part of Camp Plauche was being used as a Hospital but it was also being used as post-war housing for veterans during the 1950's. We thought that possibly his birth mother was living at Camp Plauche at the time.

The St. Claude address was for the D'Ingianni Foundation Hospital. Again my husband had been told he was born at Baptist so it this is correct, perhaps his birthmother was a nurse at one of these facilities?

My maternal grandmothers name on both my mother and uncle's birth certificate is Organniaa & Origanniaa = suggesting a mispelling or pronounciation when giving the information.
Her forenames are Marteama Vita / Martina Vita & we know she is/was Italian.

If anyone has suggestions of variations of this name, considering the possible language barrier issue, in Italian surnames sounding like "organya" please help. I'm at a dead end as this name doesnt seem to exist and the closest I've got is Organni.

Also more info - she was living in West Hartlepool (Whitby St) at least from 1953-55 and was living with Frederick Herman Sabido, my grandfather. It is unclear as to whether they were married but if you have any info on this too please contact me. I'm trying to find her!

We believe they met in North Tyneside (North Shields area) so she could possibly be registered somewhere here and also after W Hartlepool moved down south.

I'm still ISO bMother and bFather. My search angel has just run slam into the proverbial brick wall re: Sandra Strickland, and is recommending that we look at birthfathers instead. [There are only 133 possible bF vs. hundreds, if not thousands, of Sandra Stricklands.] Oh, wait, I think that I received my nonID from the state of Florida since the last time I wrote. [It took a year to get it!] It appears to be lifted directly from the bMother's OB chart, which I already had received from the OB back in the 1980s. Here's the info that it included that I had forgotten:- bMother had "beautiful red hair" [OB file actually just says light red, lol]- bMother had only one sibling, a younger brother- bMother's parents info - Father was 45 yrs old. Presbyterian. College grad. English-Welsh. Mother was 36 yrs old. No religion mentioned. High school grad. English-Welsh-Indian. - bMother had usual childhood diseases [measles, chicken pox, etc...] but no other health problems. My brother (Wesley Earl) sister (Suzanne) and I (Stephanie) were placed in foster care (childrens welfare)in Yakima in 1957 and were adopted that same year by a family in Olympia Washington. From what I know I had one older and one younger sibling that were adopted out before the three of us. Our birth mother stated to the Social Worker that she had Leukemia which was why she never made it to the court proceedings, the social worker thought she may have lied because she tried her best to keep us and just couldn't do it. We believe our birth mother was either married to or living with a man named Victor at the time who was not our birth father, we are told she was petite with blonde hair. I was born July 7, 1950 in Nashville, TN and brought to the Georgia Tann home in Memphis right after that. I apparently was brought there right before the State of TN closed her down and so was "held" there until the State could re-open it legally and so I was one of the first infants to be adopted out legally (adopted March, 1951)I want to find my birth mom to let her know I'm okay and I want to be sure she is as well. The info I received (all the State of TN would give me) is that I have a half sister two years older than me; and was given some physical identifying information about bm and bd...My mom was apparently around 16 or 17 years old, unmarried, 5'4" with blonde hair. My dad was Irish mostly with dark hair and blue eyes. My adoptive parents were James and Bessie Cannon of Memphis and they did tell me that the name I had in the Tann home was Suzanne Marie and they renamed me Susan Marie. I also came with a birth ring on my finger. I don't have any adoption papers such as birth certificate; the only thing I have basically is the decree of adoption at the Memphis courthouse. I don't even know where to start and just need some direction. Any help is so appreciated. Thanks!

Looking for any information on a Lenore (Nora) Stone. She gave birth to a little girl in 1960 in OH. Nora is the daughter of Edward & Lola Stone, sister to Geri (female) who married Micheal Gerald Kunz, on July 9 at Anglican Church in North York, Toronto, Canada. Searching from non-identifing information and info given from my adpotive mother.

My mother's name was Edna (Evans was a family name). I do not know her last name. She was born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-Western State and was of Irish-Cherokee Indian decent.

Edna's parents died when she was very young (did not have know what from) and she was raised on a farm by her grandmother (possible somewhere in Ohio). After her grandmother died and she went to an orphanage.

Edna only had a 8th or 9th grade education. She was live in Miami, Florida 1944 - 1946. I was born Nov. 1945. I was named after her best friend Glory Jean but pre-registration birth certificate has Gloria Jean.

She was dating Noland Ebanks who's name was on the above mentioned birth certificate.

Edna was working as a cocktail waitress in Miami, Florida at the time of my birth. She also had elevator operator positions.

Edna married (someone else) around the time of my adoption. it was stasted that she could not ask her new husband to accept the responsibility of a child that was not his (Possible that he did not want me and she had to choose in order to survive - she could not support me and gave me up so I would have a better life).

MY mother's name was Edna (Not sure of her last name). She was born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-western state and of Irish-Cherokee decent.

Her parents died when she was a child (causes unknown) and she was raised by her grandmother on a farm (in Ohio possible). When her grandmother died, she went to an orphanage. She only had a 7th of 8th grade education.

I was born Nov 1945 and she was living in Miami, Florida.

She held positions of cocktail waitress and elevator operator. She may have lived in the Miami, Florida area from 1944 thru 1946 or 1947. She was married some time in 1946 or 1947 and possibably moved back to Ohio.

Evans was a family name (this may have been her grandmother's last name)

Does anyone know her or any relatives? I would like to know my roots and connect with her (if still living) or some of her family.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told that I was given up by my biological mother at birth (November 22, 1956) because she was too young and unmarried. About 2 years later someone called asking after me, calling me the Caldwell (or Callwell) baby. She wanted me back because she married my biological father and was pregnant with another baby. I have been told the baby was a girl, so my sister.

If anyone has the information on this please let me know!

It was a private adoption, my mom and dad (the people who adopted me) where there when I was born, so they were the only ones to ever be on the birth certificate and all other records see to be lost or unaccessible.

How did you get all this information about your birthmother as this might give me some idea of where to look for your mother > I should be able to find some trace of her in Washington but nothing . I've posted before but I don't think I was accurate enough. I do appreciate the replies that I did receive but here I go trying once more. I am searching for Barbara Goins born the year of 1942 and from North Carolina. Barbara is african-american and she resided in Hempstead Long Island NY during 1960-61. A lady named Ruth Holley-Lattimore took her in during her pregnancy, during 1960-1961. On July 16, 1961 Barbara gave birth to Paula Elaine Goins at Meadowbrook hospital in Nassau county, Uniondale NY. The only address that I have is 875 Jerusalem Ave Uniondale, NY. I also have the birth certificate of Paula but from the information provided all I know about Barbara Goins, is just that. She may have a middle name, though I am not sure about that. I also hear that Barbara may have lost her parents in a car accident, yet I am not 100 percent sure about that either. The las bit of info I had was that Barbara married someone with the last name Jackson. Although that was years ago, that leaves me with nothing else. My mother was adopted a few days after she was born. The coulpe that adopted her were Wilson and Margie Criteser (Anglin) My mother's name was Diana Lynn Criteser. The last name changed to Lall after my grandma remarried. My mother died in a car accident in 1997. According to Oregon State law, I can not get the adoption records. I was only able to obtain a small amount of information on the birth mother. It gives a lot of non identifying information about her. I do know that she had several children. Most of them went up for adoption.
The mother worked in the fields in and around Eugene Oregon. My grandma thought that the birth mother's name was Clair Smith, but she does not remember.
