I am searching for my natural mother, Edna (I do not know her last name). Evans was a family name.

Non-identifing information stated that she was of Irish-Cherokee Indian decent. Her parents died when she was a child and she was raised by her grandmother ( I believe this was somewhere in Ohio). After her grandmother died she went to an orphanage.

I was born Nov 1945 in Miami, Florida where she was living at the time and working as a cocktail waitress. She also held positions of elevator operator. She was dating/living with a merchant marine by the name of Noland M Ebanks. He was out to sea a lot and manager of bar helped her out a lot before and after I was born. (she only had a 7th or 8th grade education).

Edna could not afford to keep me on her own and gave me up for adoption so I could have a better life. I was around 6 months old when my adoptive mom got me. I was not actually adopted until almost 2 years old since my adoptive mother was a single woman.

My natural mother later was married and possible moved back to Ohio.

Evans may have been her grandmother's last name.
