I am trying to contact Wanda Lyndall Parker and a Jodi?? who left postings on this message board in January and April of this year. I have a letter from my gr-great Uncle William Lyndall?? to his cousin George T. Lyndall dated Nov. 21, 1898 from Phil. PA. to his cousin Will in Mobile Ala.The main topic of this letter is Little George Lyndall who is obviously adopted and the letter mentions that he is evidently going to forget his McKeever connection!
So I believe we are talking about the same people.

Willmon (b. 1888), Flora L Willmon (b. 1890), Sarah Minna Willmon (b. 1892), Ardie Una Willmon (b. 1896), and Alexander Dow Willmon (b. 1898) were all born in Alabama. The 1900 census shows them living in Delta County Texas with Loranzo A and Mary Jane (Perry) Stockton listed as sons and daughters. The other children in the home in the 1900 census are Nancy j Stockton (b. 1878), Charles F Stockton (b. 1880), Millie Stockton (b. 1882), and Ibbie Stockton (b. 1884). The 1910 census shows the ones still living at home have had names changed to Stockton. I am looking for the parents of the Willmon children. Thank you

My grandfather (now deceased) was born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 2, 1920. His name was William George Stewart. He was adopted as an infant by Burry Stewart and Irna (Schelhass) Stewart.

I would like to obtain a copy of his original birth certificate to see if we can learn the identity of his birth parents. Is there a way to look into these pre adoption records after death? The vital statistics website was clear that no other family members could request them.

Their father was in construction and died from a fall off a building and their mother gave them up, I think for financial and mental reasons. Please, any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am searching for information on my mother's birth father. He married my grandmother, Lattrelle Reid, somewhere around 1946-1949. She was from Empire, Alabama, originally born in Corner, Alabama in 1928. She lived in Sumiton, Alabama also. I know they divorced before my mother was born. She was born on 11-15-1950. This means that they had to still be married on or around 1-15-50, when she should have been conceived. My sister and I were never told about the situation, and have yet to be told by my family. We were told that my grandmother lived with an aunt in the Greymont area during this time. We now know that this was the time she was married the first time. I am trying to find out this man's name, and whether or not he is still alive. Also if my mother has other siblings out there. Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I was adopted in Alabama in 1965 but unfortunately can not take advantage of the open records because I was not born in Alabama. My half brother was born in AL but will not request his OBC so that I can get the name of the BM from it. The maiden name was Taylor. He was born in Mobile AL and I was born in NY. According to the story the maternal grandfather was a Major in the Army or AirForce and the grandmother had some sort of diplomatic involvement. Brothers name at time of birth was Terry Taylor. I do not want to disrupt any ones life, I just want to know medical history and ethnic and ancestry. I think these are things that I can find out about without having to have contact if it is not wanted. Contact is not out of the question. I would not mind meeting BM and finding out who my BF is.

I ordered William J Smith death cert, it states that Mary Ward was his mother and Aron Smith his father. According to 1880 census he was listed as Aron's grandson and Mary was listed as Arons stepdaughter.
I was told that he was born a Ward and was adopted by the Smith family. He was born 1875 and died Feb 1943. Not sure if his brother Zack, who was born in 1878.. was adopted, but both are listed living in house household of Aron and both as grandsons. Aron was married to a Ellener.

I am looking for my birth father in Alabama. My birth mother's name is Alice Ann Nicholas and I was born Jennifer Ann Nicholas. I was adopted and grew up in Huntsville, AL. My adoptive mother(whom I adore) passed away in December of 2003 and she had been so sick I wasn't able to ask her if she knew. My birth mother won't even tell me his name. She claimed he was married and that they were seeing each other and she broke it off with him and then he raped her and here I am. According to my grandfather, his father had an affair with a younger family member (by marriage), which resulted in the conception and birth of a son. We beleive that he was born some time in 1932 or 1934. We know that his biological mother was Eva Kilgore. We beleive that he may have been adopted by another (hopefully loving) family as she was very young. I would like to contact my great-uncle in hopes of getting to know him and perhaps re-uniting him with my grandfather. He may never have known that he had a half-brother. My grandfather's health is not so well these days and all but one sibling has already passed on. I am really hoping to accomplish this before he leaves our family. Can anyone out there help me to figure out what to do with the information I have. I currently have all of my non-identiying information from my adoption record which has my mother's name and age and a summary of medical, and some occupational history for several members of my family. The only name that it all gives is my mother Monica Denise Hanna which was 17 at time of birth. In Feb 1980 she was arrested with me but out of state, which is not named. I was placed for adoption May 1981 Praise God! When I was younger I was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome and didn't really understand until recently that is genetic, missing 15th chroosome. The summary from April 14,1982 states my 23yo father had cataract surgery. This is a trait of Marfan Syndrome. I recently got married June 9 2004 and would like to have children. Before doing so I would love to know my families medical history. I included a copy of my addendum to the orginial summary and a face shot of me. Everyone says I look like someone they know, and pics are worth a thousand words, so.... Someone, anyone, please help!

My grandmother was adopted in 1940 by Allen Harrison Hobbs and Mary Climmons Hobbs both of Birmingham , AL
(West End). Allen and Mary both originally from Lebnon , TN.
Edna Marie was born October 10, 1932 in Jefferson County , AL. We are in the process of getting info on how to get the sealed documents released. Adoption took place in Montgomery , AL. I believe from the stories we were told by her that she became a ward of the state. I do know for sure that she does have sibilings from her birth mother. My grandmother when she was a teenager found her half sister and they started writing back and forth to each other and then it suddenly stopped for reasons unknown. She also remembers going to see them when she was little after being adopted, remembers playing with them. I am under the assumption that Mary and Allen knew the birth parents. Mary and Allen had a business in Birmingham called Alabama Woodworks Co. which is still active til this day, but I believe it has been renamed. If anyone has any information that might help us , please reply to this or send me an email. Or if anyone knows of anything else we can do to get information. Thank You.

I was born 12/10/63 in Mobile, AL to Sarah Ann Jones. I have found her. My original birth certificate shows my birth father's name is Roy Leviet Jones. That's all it tells about him. Sarah died Jan of 2004. I have got her death certificate. It shows she was born Oct. 18, 1927. It shows her parent's names were Jessie Evans and Blanche Denny. It doesn't give their middle names. It also doesn't tell where Sarah was born, but by her SSN, it was issued in AL. I tried to get the health dept. to get me a copy of her birth certificate, but they said I'd need her parents full names and where she was born. I've seen on the SSDI that I can request a copy of the form that was filled out to apply for her SSN. I'm wondering how much info this form will tell me. I don't know if this will help me or not, but can someone in Mobile search the city directories for the year 1963 or years close to it to see if it shows Roy and Sarah Jones lived there? I got my medical records from University of South Alabama hospital, so I'd assume they did live there at that time. DHR helped me to find 1 brother, which lives in Opelika; 2 sisters, which live in Mobile; 1 half brother, which lives in Mobile. We are still looking for one half brother, Roy Cowart, born in 1952; one brother, born in 1962, and know his adoption was private; and one sister, born July 15, 1960, which knows I wanted to make contact with her about 10 yrs ago through DHR, but at the time she said she would have to think it over and never did call DHR back. From what I gather from my birth certificate I was born 11-14-1973 to a Sherry Smith of Ashville, Alabama. I was left in a closet at Pell City Hospital.
She was a white female in the 10th grade 5 ft. 5 inches tall and weighed around 135. She was a good student and enjoyed sports, particularly basketball. Her mom was a widow, her dad was killed in an accident when he was 51 years old. He was around 6 ft. 4 inches tall and operated heavy equipment in construction work. She had two sisters both older than the herself. They are around 5 ft. 6 inches tall and have brown hair and brown eyes. The oldest was in 1973 working on her masters degree in industrial management and the other sister was attended a junior college and loved sports.
My Father was a black male 6ft. 2 inches around 180 lbs. He was attending college and was studying engineering.
