CT birth records destroyed after 25 years

Please be advised that in the state of CT birth records from hospitals are destroyed after 25 years! My husband went to Bridgeport Hospital to obtain his medical records at birth and he was told they destroy them after 25 years. They do not save them on film either. If you need your medical records be sure you get them before they are discarded.
