You could call your local Public Library and see if they have the "Library Edition of Ancestry" as they have the census from 1790 up to 1930. The community should be listed on those census. Remember these are just transcriptions but there is a link to click on to view the actual scanned census to check for mistakes. You can copy the census page or parts of it.
Also you might want to check the genweb sites to check the records there. They sometimes have wills, cemeterys, births, obits, marriages, land records, military records and more.
