Looking for my Great Aunt's son born on July 8,1955 in Portland, Maine

I was telling my Great-aunt about my family research, and she was wondering about a son that she gave up for adoption many years ago. She thinks the last name of the couple who adopted him is Chase. He was born July 8, 1955 in Portland, Maine. She also told me that he was born at Maine General, but my research leads me to believe that it would've been Maine Medical. The doctor was Laughlin. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Her name is Beverly Cohen, and she's 82 years old, so she would love to find out whatever she can. Thank you.
