Am searching for BM who came from KC to Springfield and gave birth to a baby girl in Sept/Oct of 1973/74. BF was from KC also, but family moved. Adoption was handled through an attorney privately. Would like to converse with anyone who has direct interest in these particular dates and place. Am doing this for a friend and am very cautious with regard to further info being published. (Hv done my own search and found so I know the rules/regs for Missouri and searching as well as protocal.) Thank you!

My name is Megan and i recently found out i may have an older brother that was given up for adoption at birth. My mother was from Nowata, OK but born in Kermit, TX. I will be happy to share her name with anyone regarding this. I have no other information other than it was a son who may have been born sometime between 66 & 67 and the only reason i am able to guess this is because my mom had to re-do her senior year of high school and ended up graduating in 1968.

Hi all.....My name is Tim.
I was born "baby boy Morrison" on November 11, 1966 at The Pulaski County Memorial Hospital, Waynesville Missouri....and was adopted at birth.
My birthmothers name was (Jacquline Morrison) "Jackie"....Her maiden name was Kelly or Kelley.
She was married to a Michael Emery Morrison at that time.....later they divorced and from what I have been told she and children moved back to the state of Texas Mike is not my bio father...He was in Viet Nam when I was concieved.....(even though his name WAS on the papers) ..Jackie came from Texas in November 1966 and gave birth to me at about the same time Mike was coming in to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from Viet Nam......(Which goes to show you that... War is hell on the homefront too.) :-) I was put up for adoption..
Jackie worked at Wal Mart in St Robert, Mo.....Mike worked at a Standard Gas station just down the street from Wal Mart......they lived in the area for a few years...the adoption was finalized on 7 april 1969 in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County Missouri.....they moved up north....to Wisconsin...I think....then got divorced and she and children moved back to Texas........and Jackie has since remarried............
I am in Desperate Need of my biological family medical history....I would also like to know my family background, lineage, heritage........and my biological fathers side of the family medical history....heritage...etc.

A Note to Jackie: I understand "why"...its ok...just get in touch with me...Please
I hope someone/anyone out there reads this and can/will help. Thanks...My email is: KountryBumpkin65583@yahoo.com

We are trying to find our indian heritage and was told that our gggggrandmother was from the Cherokee Indian tribe that was on the trail of tears. We are under the assumption that she was adopted. The parents listed in Ancestry are Joseph and Mary Wimsatt. Her name is Virginia Wimsatt. Is there anyway that we could find out if she was adopted and if so what her Indian name was? Records indicate she was born March 11, 1825 in Missouri.

I was born 1951 in Park Lane Hospital, St. Louis Missouri. Birth name was NANCY LEE ELLIIOTT. My birthmother is thought to have been from the San Francisco Area. Birth Father is listed as KIA in the Korean Conflict. Adopted Parents are now both deceased Arthur E. Calvert and Viola Lillian Calvert. The adoption was handled through the St. Louis Child Welfare department. Adoption was finalized in 1952 my mother was not present at those proceedings as was said to have gone back to California. My sister was 5-6 years old at the time of my birth I do not know her name, but I believe her last name was not the same as mine as her father was said to have died in Europe in WWII. If anyone has any information please contact me.

I'm trying to find any information on John Francis O'Laughlin.

I know that he was probably adopted into the O'Laughlin family. His wife's name was Margaret Luella Silvernail (last name may be Silbernagel also). They had 2 children, John Lewis O'Laughlin, and Aldon S O'Laughlin.

Adoption or Foster Records in Missouri

I am looking for records on my great grandfather. We thought he was adopted by Hermann and Regina Buchholz, but his WWI registration says Foster Father. His former name was Merritt and he had a foster sister Katherine (Katie) Buchholz, who married Fred Filla. Joseph was born Feb 2, 1895 and died in South Dakota in Oct 1971. Does anyone know the best place to find foster home information for this time period? I cannot locate any birth records under either name. He also at some point dropped an 'H' in Buchholz to make it Bucholz. It has also been recorded as Bucholtz and Buchholtz.

adoptee looking for bf. I understand that the NARA is in St. Louis. I don't know the name of my birth father but, He was employed at Luke AFB in phoenix, AZ during 1951. My BM worked there and I have found her. She does not even remember his name but I would still like to find him. She worked there in the cafeteria as civilian employee, along with her mother. My bf also worked there. I have a feeling that he worked in or near the food service. I understand that the NARA in St. Louis is where the civilian employee records are kept. I know this is a long shot but Luke AFB wasn't build until shortly before 1951 and I know the are was a small farming area. There shouldn't have been that many employees approx 21 yrs old employed there.
Does anyone in the area go to the NARA to search records? Would really appreciate a response on this since I will be going to Phoenix in December and I would like to do some scouting now on any leads. If I can get some help on this, I would be so grateful. ---BOB

I was born 3-7-53 in Perryville MO and sent to a foster center in Cape Girardeau. Legally adopted when I was 5 years old. I am a 53 year old male searching for my siblings I was told I had. I am suppose to be the youngest of five. My story was released this week 9-19-06 in the Perryville newspaper. I was told my first name was given by my mother? or foster care I really do not know but my parents kept it in my name. Richard was the name. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated if you would pass it along.
Respectfully,
Richard Nelson Martin

Looking for Juanita Moore of Missouri

Hello,
I am searching for the grandmother of a good friend. He needs to know his genetic history. He has been told his father is Cherokee/Romanian. They know very little.

My friend's father's name is Robert Moore, and he was born in 1952 in a very small town in Missouri. He had several siblings, of which he was neither the youngest or oldest. He thinks he was about 8 when they were all given up for adoption. His oldest brother was old enough to go out on his own. He doesn't remember a father so there is a possibility that Moore is Juanita's maiden name. There is also a chance that Juanita was born on Cherokee land.

That's about all we have to go on. Damien just needs to know his ancestry, that's all. He wont bother any family if anyone knows anything, they can just go through me.

I hope something about this is familiar to someone,
thanks,
evy

Looking for twin boys adopted St Louis 1965

I am looking for my brothers. They were twins given up for adoption "to a friend of the family" in the summer of 1965 just after their first birthday.

I was born in 1966, and also given up for adoption. I have found my birthmother, she won't talk about it. Family members remember the twins but have no idea what happened to them.

The twins, born "summer 1964", were "S. and K. McMillin" BEFORE their adoption. No idea what their names were changed to after adoption.

MO birth index needs a birthdate before they can run a search.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
Andrea
