looking for information about the family of female adoptee... born October 1923 in Montana. She weighed only 3lbs. I was told her birth family was Meagher, she has brother four years older than she. Father was WWI veteran, wounded and later died. Mother traveled from Montana to San Francisco area to be with (grandmother?)...that person willing to help raise 4yr old son, but not up to dealing with a 3 lb. infant. Child adopted by Frank and Grace Whipple and is still living.

Seeking to connect with descendants of Hiram Smith born 1825 in GA married Harriet Burtz in Lumpkin Co., GA. Hiram is son of John Smith born 1790 in S.C. and Mary(Montgomery) Smith born 1794 in S.C. Hiram and Harriet left GA +/- 1850 for MT and died there. Need y_DNA test to verify family connection.

How do I begin searching for birthmother in a closed adoption?

I am searching for my father who was born in February 60+ years ago in a small town in Montana and was placed in a catholic orphanage where he was adopted by a family from Columbia Falls, Montana. How would I go about searching for information leading to finding the birthparents? The orphange does not exist anymore neither is the lawyer or priest who helped with the adoption. Any info on how to get started with all this would be great.
My father honestly is not that interested, but I would love to know family/medical history on his side.

I am an adoptee searching for birth family members. I was born 10/30/1956 at Billings Deaconess Hospital. According to a copy of my original birth certificate my mother's name is Jean (Asay) Miller. She is listed as being 30 years old at the time of my birth, from Wyoming. She had 4 previous live births. There is no info regarding my birth father.

My adoption was private. My adopted parents were living in New Mexico at the time of my adoption. They reported that my birth mother was living in a boarding house in Billings. My birth father, not my birth mother's husband, was possibly part native american. After my birth, my birth mother may have had another child with the same man and then returned to her husband.

I am not trying to cause problems, I just do not have any idea about my biological heritage. I was adopted at birth in Helena, Montana by the Baker Family. All I know about my biological parents is that they were young. I think my mother had red hair and my father may have been of Mexican or Spanish decent. I no nothing else. The adoption process was such that all records were sealed and that was that. How do I go about finding out what I have wondered about for so long?

I am looking for any information on my adopted grandmother Gladys Gertrude Hansen. She was born April 16, 1907. I think it was in Helena, Montana in the St. Joseph's Orphanage. Great Falls or Valiur Montana. Daniel was born 1911, Earl 1906
and their little sister was born 1915 or 1916. She was adopted

the story i was told my grandmother was that allen's mother was a hagel and her father threw out of the house. she could have been mormon. my gr grandparents came from cody, wy to adopt allen. they were fred headley hammond b. ohio and mary lou sadie price b. tennessee. they renamed him fred price hammond and was blessed in their church. any info on who allen's birth mother is or father i'd sure appreciate it.

I am searching for my older half-sister. I was told that she was born on 8-26-1962 in Superior, MT at the Mineral County Hospital. My aunt told me that she wasn't sure where exactly my grandmother took the baby. She said that she was taken to one of the following cities; Great Fall, Butte or Missoula. My mom said that she name her Mary. Mom's last name was Sides, but my grandmother was ashamed of this and she refused to talk about it. I'm thinking that the reason no one has answered my queries in the past might be because my grandmother checked her into the orphanage under her name Alice Sides or maybe even used her maiden name of Kay. There are a lot of medical problems in my family. I really think she sould know about them. I need help!
