I am trying to locate my half brother. He would have been born in the late 1920's, early 1930's. Our father's name was Jenness Dale McLeod, Sr. It is quite likely there are more children also and I would really like to locate them all and their families. They are greatly loved and wanted.
Bunny

I have a 20 yr old granddaughter who I've been trying to find for yrs. She was born in Manchester, NH to my son, Mike Wimbley and his girlfriend, who we never got to meet. We think her birthday is the first week of May, 1988.
My son never got to know his daughter. He had some troubles and ended up in Colebrook, NH in reform school. By the time he got out, his girlfriend and baby were gone and now we think Felissa may have been adopted. Is there anything at all I can do to find her? I don't know what hospital she was born at, nor do I know any of her mother's family. Thank you for all you can do, Debbie

New Hampshire Adoptee

It search of a half sister of my mother. Her birth was said to be around 1950-1951 and given the name Tanya or Tonya. My mother was given this information by her uncle Gordon. Her birth mother was born in Milan, Coos N.H. And is now living in Illinois. Tanya/Tonya was said to have been adopted by a maternal Aunt. After doing some research I can only come to find an Aunt Phyllis Jackson to have been of an age that would've been good for a newborn adoption. If anyone has any information please contact me with it. Her birth mothers maiden name is Jones. I don't want to give too much information out cause this is a very sore subject w/ my mother & grandmother. No one talks about it.

Hi my name is Deana and I live in the state of NH. I was placed for adoption at birth. I searched for years for my birthmother. NH recently passed a law a couple years ago to get your original birth certificate. I got mine but it has little info. It has my birth mothers name. I was not given a name so that is blank and my birth dad is not listed. I would really like to meet her. I will just keep searching till I find her.
Due to the new birth certificate law in New Hampshire, individuals are now permitted to receive unaltered birth certificates!

I am looking for 3 other half-siblings who were given up. The adoptions took place somewhere between 1965-1955. The births probably took place in Manchester, Goffstown or somewhere in the vicinity.

I would welcome email (tmann@ctel.net) from individuals who may think that this describes them.

Acordin to a cousin I just found has a journal of my aunts which states Leo Hoffman aka Sullivan was adopted in Nasua NH. Is there anyone in the area that might be able to check old court records for me. His adoptive parents were John Francis Hoffman and Catherine Durgin of Portland, Maine. I have checked the Portland Courthouse however all records were destroyed by fire about 1910. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for my bio mother, Linda. I was named after her mother, Barbara Ann(e). Linda later married Bill, he always knew about me, they had 2 children, Michael & Karen, who may not know that I exsist. The hospital was the old Notre Dame Hosp, now a nursing home, in Biddeford Me, the adoption was thru the Catholic Charities. Back in 1984 or so, Linda and I corresponded thru the social worker, Sue Foy at Catholic Charities in Manchester NH. Linda for some reason had to stop writing for awhile, and that was like 20yrs now gone by. I have pics of Linda from her college yrs and a pic each of Michael & Karen when they were about 14 & 11. I am looking to perhaps obtain some family medical history since i have children of my own. If Linda would like to be friends, well that'd be nice as well. No pressure. ~anne~

New Hampshire Adoption Records: 1882

It is my understanding that New Hampshire has opened adoption record information but, to what extent and who do I contact for these records?

I am looking for the adoption information of my great grandmother. She went by the name of: Katherine Lillian Piper. Her parents are listed as James William Piper and Melissa Lillian Sawyer. I can not find a birth record or death record for her. I have only her marriage record. She married in Plymouth, Grafton, New Hampshire in 1901. At that time she was 19 years old which would make her born about 1882. Her marriage record states she was born in Woodstock, New Hampshire to James William Piper and Melissa Lillian Sawyer but I have found the death notice of James William Piper and it states Kate was his adopted daughter : "He leaves a wife and adopted daughter, Katie"

This leaves me to wonder who her biological parents were and I can not go on with my genelogical research without this information.

If anyone knew this family or knows how I can get the adoption records for Kate, please contact me as this information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking You In Advance,
Angie

Need to find Parents, DOB 2/6/67, Portsmouth NH

I was born in Portsmouth General on 2-6-67 I was removed from my mothers home at the age of two and was placed with foster parents Roy and Evelyn Chapman, Roy was a mechanic in Plastow NH and Evelyn was a housewife and mother to many foster children. They resided on Babscotte lane in Plastow NH and then moved to Clement Ave Ext in Kingston NH and later to Grafton NH. I know little of my life before the age of 6 when I was adopted by the Chapmans on Oct 31,1974. Any information that could lead me to finding one or more of my parents would be eternally grateful. As from my understanding at the time I was removed my parents were not together. I have a sister who was born on 5-18-68 her name is Eva. We have the same mother but different fathers from what I was told, this has yet to be confirmed. PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY HOME.
