My grandmother, Charlotte Rittmeyer, was adopted by Charles A. Redden. She was born in Bloomfield, NJ, on Sept.8, 1898. There doesn't seem to be any birth record. Her mother, Hermine Hoerger, was not married to her father, Charles Rittmeyer. Hermine married Charles Adkins Redden in about 1900. Sometime after that, he adopted Charlotte and they had 4 more children. Does anyone know these names? I'd really love some help. Thanks!
