Did the index have her first name or initial?
I found a few women named DiStefano from the NYC area:
Elecia b 7/1944, resides in Deer Park, NY
Giovanna b 2/1944, res. Brooklyn, NY
Helen B., 1944, lives in the Bronx
Diane E. DiStefano, born in 1943, arrived in US 9/10/1952 from Genoa Italy
Kathryn P. 10/1943, Brooklyn
Lillian, 6/1943, Brooklyn
Joan, 1/1943, Maspeth, Queens, NY
It is a fairly common name. If you would like any additional information on any of these women, please let me know!
