Surnames: Peters, Peterson
With a common name, Lois Peters or Peterson, there are hundreds of possibiities. Just none that match up to mine.
I do think they concocted names and also other details in the days when illegitimate births were secretive. In my case, I don't think they could have come up with her birthplace of Greenwood, BC unless they got it from her. Even that information has been no help in finding anything on my birth family.
