I too, am interested in finding any information about adoptions occurring in TN during the 1800's. I am not sure of the dates, probably 1850's or later. My great grandmother was adopted by a family in Dickson, TN, by the name of Dr. Dick Puckett. My grandmother's last name was Crow(e). Her mother was a full blooded Cherokee from what I am not learning. Any direction or advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. My email address is juvndh2o@gwtc.net. Judy
