Elton R. Morris, 54, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, near his home on Pompey Creek Road south of Sheridan as the result of an accident. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mr. Morris was born Nov. 19, 1949, in Sheridan to Ebben and Emily (Treichel) Morris. He grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan and attended the University of Wyoming. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifelong resident of Sheridan County. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains, hunting and being with his daughters and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Gary. Survivors include three daughters, Giom of Bennington, Vt., Hope Wilson of Cheyenne and Katherine Morris of Sheridan; his mother, of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Breezy of Story; three sisters, Justine Hart and Lorelei Morris, both of Sheridan, and Willa Gale of Wichita; and one grandson. Memorials may be made to the Elton Morris Daughter's Educational Fund in care of Citco Credit Union, 29 N. Conner St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
