Surnames: Whoeler, Bliss, Green
My grandmother was found abandoned at appx 2 years old. She was told that she was 50% Native American by her adoptive parents. She was givena new name, dob, etc. Her new DOB could also be the day she was found. I heard it was on some reservation, maybe Colorado? I can't seem to find ANY information on her adoption or new parents. I want to find any records about grandma's case and I want to try to prove her Native American Blood. Can anyone give me info on grandma or what to do next? Here's her info: Ruth Florence Whoeler, new dob: June 21,1912 or 1915 d.3/27/97 CO. Adoptive parents: John and May Whoeler (Christian Science) (John later married Roberta) Grandma married Howard Horace. Bliss and later John W. Green. BIA, Choctaw Nation, etc. Looked everywhere! Thanks! Nancy
