I agree with you on these points.
My ponderment is how will Ancestry deal with showing the various DNA results (atDNA, mtDNA & Y-DNA) in a meaningful and coherent manner?
The trail of atDNA within specific pedigrees can be especially tortuous going backward in time through the various surnames to the MRCA (couple).
Over time a person can find dozens of distantly related "cousins" so a method of including/displaying the relationships within a given FTM/and or AMT needs to be incorporated into the tree structure. If this is not done a poor secondary method is for the testee to create a free-standing spreadsheet to refer to.
Just curious if there has been any discussion on this in other venues.
