My grandfather's ancestors were all from one small area of Quebec for 200 years. The same last names coming up over and over again. Prior to that they came from France in the 1600's. His wife, my grandmother, came from Ireland. I had hopes that this new test would shed some more light. Maybe specific villages or areas. 96% british isles does not tell me much and nothing from my Fathers side.
So far unless there are more results to come I am glad I was offered this new test for free by Ancestry and I would not recommend anyone spending any money on it.
