It has little to do with geography. People from various parts of France and Britain are very similar, genetically. There's common Celtic and Germanic ancestry in both places.

Another factor is that the mix of your particular DNA can confound the bio-geographical ancestry (BGA) algorithm. If all your ancestors for several generations had lived in one small village, they could discern your BGA much better.
