Ancestry is still having issues with some emails domains, meaning that they'll routinely reject incoming from the Ancestry.com domain. I know there's no issue with gmail, but the rest of the zillions are up for grabs.

I have multiple ACOM accounts. A few months ago, all of them, except the one with gmail addy, stopped receiving the monthly newsletter as usual. I hadn't changed the settings, but re-checked them to satisfy Ancestry. Ancestry told me to contact my email domain and sort out why the domain was rejecting Ancestry email. I'll get right on that. I have one set to receive all the ads and other crap from Ancestry, for some reason the advertising comes in just fine.

Ancestry usually offers a substantial reduction (30%) on a year's subscription on New Years day, for anyone interested.
