its been like this for over a year now! i did flag it but it was not picked up it covers all data bases.

at one time we could search the trees on just the town; that is with out having to put a first or surname in. this helped us to pick up who else were being associated with the town but we cant do that now. (see 1st image). then if i search for a family member who i have on my tree who lived in some towns more normally Westmorland i get told that there are no persons. try the search your self i have at least a half dozen dents who were born in Kendal on my tree Richard, john, James, Eleanor, Thomas, Harrison these should all show up with others but they don't (see second image)

then there is the problem with the death records in the 1916-2006 data base the death age and estimated date is not being returned for many of the records for those born after 1866!

what i will say is please DO NOT put in the FUZZY default of +/- 3 years if we ask for an exact year of say 1900 we should not get anything between 1897 and 1903 other than 1900. just as if we put in john smith we want john smith not john Jones whose mother was a smith or whose father in law was a smith.

sorry rant over other than to say i hate NEW SEARCH WITH A PASSION please please fix old search soon.
