I agree with you - I am having the same problem with this. My family tree is huge and it is becoming hard to view. I would like to find a way to collapse a person to a single icon. There are times when I open the Family View and some of my ancestors are collapsed down to one icon, but once I open them I am not able to collapse them back down to one icon.
