I've attached my mtdna to my profile. I wish that ancestry would add a special little icon to the name of any person who matches my autosomal dna (like they do with the little leaf), and who has the same mtdna attached to their tree, preferably with no differences. That way I would be alerted to check carefully for that info to hopefully help me zero in on the connection.

I've also attached dad's ydna to his name, but it's the mtdna, changing surnames each generation, that I'm afraid I might overlook. Mtdna alone has never helped me find an ancestor, but combined with autosomal dna, it might.

I'd suggest this to ancestry but my beta button doesn't work anymore.
