Earlier this year, we released the interactive image viewer to help you view and interpret information from image records on Ancestry.com. We’ve been working to make sure the viewer is stable, performs well, and works for all supported browser and operating system combinations. Based on user suggestions, we’ve also recently added suggested records and member connect information to the “Related content” panel.
Since the new interactive image viewer has been implemented across all image collections, we plan to remove the older content viewer in early December. Effective December 9th, all images on Ancestry.com will be displayed using the interactive image viewer. If you are still using the older content viewer, this knowledge base article - http://help.ancestry.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5512
- provides some tips to help you make the transition to the new viewing tool.
We will continue to enhance and improve the interactive image viewer with new features, such as improved support for browsing collections, and saving un-indexed content to your tree. We welcome your feedback on improvements and new features and will continue to collect feedback in the interactive image viewing experience.
