Hi again Lynda
Are you looking in the partial bmd index - it is incomplete and goes up to c1919, although more entries are being added.
If you go into the complete bmd index on ancestry, you will be able to search through the years up to 1983. There is another secton which covers 1834 to 2005. But it is a question of searching year by year.
