I just logged in to check on board activity and find that when I click on my Favorites link to the FREIERMUTH surname, a message appears that the board in question has been deleted. Messages have been posted to the board as recently as June 11, 2009, so why would it be deleted?

The loss of any board that had any kind of activity on it at all is a shame. You'll never know who might have come along and found the information useful.

Why not start a new board? Perhaps the person who was administering the old board resigned from the job and that is why it was canceled. You might want to volunteer to administer the new board. Just a thought.

It's probably that someone posted something that Ancestry does not allow....and there are loads of things that they don't!

Boards sometimes disappear inexplicably.

It may not take long to restore it.

Boards are not removed because the board administrator gives up the board or because a post is off-topic or unseemly.
