A while ago they added a transcribed search of Births 1916-2005. They deleted the Births Indexes 1837 – 1983 (the page images). There are so many transcription errors that the indexed access to the page images is essential. I reported this and - guess what? - nothing happened.

Now they've done the same to the Marriages. They've really b*lls that up because when you find one party to the marriage, the detail doesn't show the other party's surname. And 'Find Spouse' does not work at all.

Again we need the indexed access to the page images to check the transcriptions - particulary for the early early years (1837-1915).

I've messaged them (not expecting much to happen). If this affects you - please report it.
