I have spoken to Ancestry and they are able to replicate the problem so at least it is nothing to do with my computer. First of all there is only a problem if in the "Birth" box there is just a year. If there is a date as well then there isn't a problem. Secondly I only have a 22" monitor. On a larger monitor the re-sized window is not so narrow and there is no problem. Anyway the nice lady from Ancestry is going to report the problem to their developers. She says it is something to do with the new format.
