Definitely NOT just Microsoft. In fact, Ancestry image viewer was the ONLY reason I left Internet Exploder on my XP machine. When I first started using Ancestry, they specified that the viewers did not work with Firefox - which I use for everything else. I often open Ancestry with Firefox & it works fine with other parts of the site. Once in a while, I just want one quick look at a census file & it works fine with Firefox, but if I try to look at a few more records, it always crashes me completely out of Firefox. When the new "ENHANCED" viewer came out, I noticed that it mentioned working with Firefox, but apparently the one download is supposed to handle both browsers as I was never given the option to download it in Firefox, & it still prompts me to download each time I try to look at a census in IE7. It still DOESN'T work in IE7, Still crashes Firefox 2.0.x in XP and freezes Firefox 3.0 beta 5 in Linux.
TOTALLY USELESS PIECE OF JUNK!
