I just saved Clarence L. Johnson also known as Clarence Leonard Kelly Johnson (Lockheed-aircraft designer) born 27 Feb 1910 and died 21 Dec 1990(found on ancestry). The census said Burbank but it saved as Glendale on ancestry. The actual item lists Burbank as the incorporated city but it is in the judicial area for Glendale. I had noticed this for others on ancestry as well. I don't think this was just the 1940 census. I think it may also do this for some other items but I would have to search a bit to verify that.
Burbank, the lost city...I guess this is what happens when you camouflage a city.
