Another misleading Ancestry ad

I saw another misleading Ancestry ad today. It's the same type they used last year which suggested that all anyone needs to do is type in a name and find their family. That might work if an ancestor has an unusual name but sure would not have worked for me unless I knew a lot more. Two of my great grandfathers were Jim Johnson and Jim Smith. There was also a Brown and a Jones. Typing in any of those extremely common names would not have gotten me anywhere.

Those of us who do successful research should be telling new users that genealogy research takes lots of work. It is very rewarding but is certainly not instaneous nor always successful on the first or 2nd try.
