There is definitely a flaw in their system. It doesn't take account of the fact that when ancestors are traced back hundred of years there is a considerable amount of inter-breeding and ancestors can be related in more than one way to the home person. Ancestry promises the most direct route but that should be as a direct ancestor. Instead it takes the shortest route, i.e. the route with the least number of people between the ancestor and the home person.
