I am very grateful that they eliminated the overlay so it is now possible to directly edit what needs editing without a lot of extra clicks.
However, for the 1870 US Census they **still** have the foolish and wrong extra "residence" field that gives the name of the person's post office as given in the enumeration. This could be a town or crossroads or building in the next County -- it is usually ~not~ the place of residence, as previously explained. This should be eliminated.
So at least in this respect, as I am sure in many others, this new thingie is still not ready for prime time.
