Is there some way to merge duplicate data in family trees?

My family has lived in the same county for over 200 years and marrying relatives is the norm rather than the exception. My grandmothers were cousins and now my tree shows my own mother as my fourth cousin. I spend hours reentering the same information 3 or 4 times because people are on the tree several times. For example, one of my grandmothers had a sister who was also her aunt because the sister married her husband's uncle. Is there anyway to merge someone's ancestry when they are on the tree in several places? Thank You.
