I'd welcome suggestions on how to handle an ancestor who is a work-in-progress.
I'm pursuing a lead on a tentative set of parents and sibling for one of my ancestors. To search for records effectively, I've addded the tentative parents, their birthplace and date info to my tree.
Now I see the combined what-if being copied by a number of other users; I hope they won't be frustrated when I prove or disprove the parents. Is there a better way to pursue leads like this? I wish I could color code my entries as to what is solid and what is not yet proven! It would be better make this ancestor's tentative parents private or hidden until the proof is in hand.
Is there a better way to use ancestry.com to explore leads?
Thanks!
