Newbie needs help please

Hi, I don't know if I'm on the correct boards, need help with managing my tree. My cousin's wife's family tree has become so large that it is overwhelming me and my own personal tree. I would like to make a new seperate tree for her branch of the family. Is there a way for me to take that part of the tree and move it without having to start from scratch and retype it all? Sorry, I'm new at this and can't figure out how to accomplish this move. There are already about 500 people in her tree and only about 200 in mine. Thanks for any assistance.
