i wrote up my research looking for my ggfather WFS as if i was talking to my now dead mom.

i tried to anticipate every question and looked carefully at each fact.

i had an obit that talked about a mahlon saunders and his son richard l saunders.

i had found a george mahlon and his son richard lee but had never made a connection with living descendants.

it turned out that there was a charles mahlon living near my ggmother and her 2nd husband. i followed that clue from 1AM sunday morning and finally made connections with a 2nd cousin i never knew this afternoon.

what a nice feeling.
something only a genealogist could understand.
my kids just yawned when i told them.

so onward. confusing the dead and to irritate the living.
