Not sure I can help you specifically on this as they don't expand on what constitutes the Misc Locations. However, a Google search for "1911 census Enumeration Districts" gave me the following link to a PDF document from the National Archives
http://www.uk-genealogy-online-store.info/1911%20RG14.pdfIf you follow the link and go to the last 5 or so pages it list the Districts: SHIPS and MILITARY. SHIPS lists the name of each ship and its location at the time of the 1911 Census.
If you know the name of the ship your ancestor served on you might find it and its location listed here.
