Has the system changed?

One message board is linked to a mailing list that I read. This means that you have to follow the link to http://boards.rootsweb.com/ to reply to someone either on the message board or direct.

I wanted to send a message to someone to offer a section of a map to them but when I clicked on their name I got

"We're sorry, but there was a problem with the request"

I just logged into ancestry.co.uk, went to Message Boards and selected the one of interest and am able to send a message online to the person.

Has this been blocked on http://boards.rootsweb.com/ ? If so then I wish they would use a more constructive message.
