yes i had most of that information but not the very last part. i'll have to see where duke co is in massachusetts. i know all that took me quite awhile to research; so i appreciate your time and energy. i actually located a living relative in hopes that with all her stuff and that maybe somewhere someone would know something. we finally found where my great grandfather's brother went to and became of the estate...turned out the brother died tragically, his wife lived on with the living support of a female friend of hers. in the end, the friend was given the mansion/property over keeping it for the 4th generation of family. it would have been interesting to have that experience of going through the house and knowing that side of my father's family.
