Cathy;Say hi to Wally for me. This is Ron Zeien(son of William A.). Sylvester was my Godfather. What a wonderful surprise to hear from you. My wife Linda and I have been working on our ancestry tree for quite some time, but not much at a time. We have the family back to Jacob Zeyen at about 1670 birth in Zermullen. I posted that note in 2012 hoping to add to the info that we already had. We finaly joined Ancestry a month ago. We tried to concentrate only on our direct lineage, so we passed up a lot of the families information. We have since started to form the tree and print what we have. I have prior commitments so we are going to let Ancestry expire for now. I would appreciate anything that you would be willing to share. After about a month of my forum post, I got a reply from a school teacher, Karl Josef Tonner, that teaches in Kelberg. I was elated. He gave me 37 pages of decendency in Germany. However, we still could't get past Jacob. Last fall, Lin and I took a week long drive into Wisc. and down into Iowa and just before we came back, I just had to stop to talk to some of the Zeien's there. I know that we are related, but the tie has to happen in the early 1800's and before. That family didn't emmigrate until 1875. This fall, Lin and I are taking a trip to Germany. We are planning on about a 3 week trip. We are very excited. If I remember correctly, didn't you make that trip? I want to see the areas that they are from. Oh by the way, if you are not Wally's wife, I'm going to be very embarassed. Thank you so very much, Cathy, and have a great day. -Ron- zeienron@gmail.com
