I am writing to you in regards to Dobbs Cemetery, in Crawford County, Arkansas, not being allowed public access by the owners, Homer and Shirley Crain. Brian Porter and I are trying to get access to this badly abandoned and neglected cemetery. The owner will not allow access to this cemetry by family members even with a police escort. We need family members of those buried there to help support us in our cause. You have family ancestors buried there also. If we can get enough surviving family members to back us, maybe we can eventually be allowed access to this cemetery to photograph it and to clean it up. It is rumored that the owner has allowed cattle to overtake this cemetery and tromping all over the graves and stones. I , myself have not been to the property in question to confirm these accusations. Those buried there should be treated with more respect. There are some military stones there. Those fought for freedom in the USA whether it was for the Confederacy or the Union. They fought for what they believed in as our troops are doing today. They need respect and deserve it. Would you be interested in contacting us and giving your support in getting this cemetery open to the public once more?
Thank you for your time.
