We should take a look at the book citation:

Alleman, Elise A. The Legend and History of Place-Names of Assumption Parish. Baton Rouge, Louisiana: Louisiana State University Thesis, 1936. v2/p239

To see why USGS listed it as an alternate name for NORWOOD, EAST FELICIANA. Otherwise, I would think they are in the wrong spot, too.
