Tami, lost records from recent move, and destroyed hard drive, have a relative in CA that has done a lot more on the Martens Family - just sent her a email to reconnect and regain lost records. my grandfather was Herman Martens, and believe these listed by you are his siblings: George, Henry, Emma, Philip, John, Edward, etc

Have been looking for Philip Martens, but baptismal records indicate Johann George (also listed as Philipp) and a Wilhelm Adam Philipp - not sure which one I need to be following? I promise my mother before she passed that I would find Philip (he served in WWI). Found a draft and Census records from '20 & '30s on John G Martens, but lack military records to confirm that he served in WWI. Being that the last WWI veteran has passed; The National Archives may now be more cooperative. Can pass records on, but believe need to sent email to email and not thru Ancestry. walt
